News Halo 5: Osiris Opening Sequence

343 Industries just released another look into Halo 5: Guardians with a broadcast of the opening cinematic of the game. The sequence introduces Fireteam Osiris whom, after an initial briefing with Thomas Laskey, plunge into a Covenant group in order to rescue Doctor Catherine Halsey from her abductor, Jul 'Mdama. Outside of the... robust cinematography the company is known for, the sequence establishes that Halsey has been kidnapped, the Covenant are still evil, and Fireteam Osiris kicks ass. You can watch the video in full below.

What do you think about the video? Among other things, 343 definitely still has an eye for visuals.

The game may be lackluster in its multiplayer department when compared to the previous games but man does the campaign sure as hell look like its shaping up to one badass experience.

Agreed, the cinematography was beautifully done. These high-action sequences have been a strong part of the franchise's marketing from the start, so I wouldn't expect anything less.

Maybe we'll get an opening for Chief's team, too :titmar:

Probably one of the most badass H.A.L.O jumps I've seen in any video game. Can't wait to see what the rest of the campaign holds in store for us.

They seriously have no idea what the SOLDIER part of "super soldier" means, do they? Running out into the fray like that with no strategy other than showing off what they all learned in dance school would get them killed. How does that help your precious "immersion", 343? Bunch of idiots. They should all just quit and make a cinematic company, leave the game developing for actual developers who know what they're doing... :vincent:
