Hey, I saw this really cool effect in the Halo: Reach map Not A Prayer where the forger made fire pits. Can someone explain how he did that, and if it's possible, I want to know if it can be done in Halo 4. I want to integrate it into a few of my maps. Thanks!

I meant the actual fire he used. It burned and crackled and gave off smoke. That's why I wanted the fire, I'm already using Kill Balls and Lights.

sometimes they put the vehicle below the map so you cant see the top of it. then you see flames and the smoke.

It was easier in Halo Reach because the vehicles didnt despawn 5 seconds later after they were destroyed.

True, I'm wondering if you can set it up so you have a vehicle spawn and instantly, or near instantly, and gets destroyed after it respawns. hmmm.. might cause loud explosions though during the game Oh halo 4, you suck forging wise.

Just destroy the hog part way, so its flaming but not destroyed. Or use orange lights and teleporter orbs to make bonfires.

no, I mean there's a thread that has gotten an insane amount of traction over at waypoint and it's gained loyal support from moderators and several responses from bs angel. I think they've at least changed their priorities a little.

I've done the lightning effect, thanks for the post though. If you head over to THFE and watch their review of "Not A Prayer" (Mr. Pokephile does the commentary) you'll see the fire effect in all it's glory.
