Staff Tagging
Have you ever wanted to tag a whole usergroup, instead of just one person? If I wanted to get the attention of one particular member, such as Dax, I simply type his name, preceded by the @ character ("@ Dax", without the space). But what happens if I want to get the attention of the Staff? If I need their help with moderation, or if I simply want their opinion on my suggestions for the site, how can I tag them all at once?Well I did some snooping around the attic, and found a cool little tick box called "Is Taggable" for usergroups. That means if I check that box, we'll all be able to tag the usergroup. Usergroups are groups of users such as Staff, Administrators, Gold Hosts, Review Crew Members, etc. These are usually things you have to earn - most members are simply known as "Registered".

News A Coat of Red
When I first joined the staff of Halo Customs, thanks to a series of events that I still don't quite understand, I was greeted by a lovely notice on the front page written by Tedium. It was adorable. Now, after a while of working with him, I have the pleasure in introduce the very same man as our newest administrator.
Joining the ranks of Insane54, BigStack, and TACTICS, Tedium dons the coat of red. In my time here, he has been an amazing help with both the minigame competition and the ongoing Unity 1v1 tournament. He's more than once saved the staff's collective hides but writing up an article and has played a major part in organizing aspects from both of the aforementioned tournaments. Tedium is dedicated to say the least.
With that, help me in congratulating the newly reddened Tedium.

Here at HaloCustoms, we're all about competitions! Because our admins are cool like that. While the Minigame Competition and the 1v1 Tournament have been soaking up the limelight, there has been a smaller competition running its course in the background.
Here's the Scenario
This website was made by some guys. Those guys are the admins. They didn't make all of it - they built it off the template. That costs money. They also didn't create things like the Map Database template. That costs money too. Here's a fun question: "Can just anyone create and maintain a website?" Well, no, you need to rent out a server. So the costs just keep stacking.
Stacking... stacking... oh yeah! BigStack. He's the one whose wallet has been getting thinner and thinner as the days go by. On top of all that, protecting against the thankfully-not-so-recent...
Contest Warning: Multiple accounts on your IP address will likely get you DISQUALIFIED
Twice today, us staff have discovered that at least two contestents in our current Minigame competition have been creating multiple accounts from the same IP address. This is internet speak for having more than one account on your computer.
While this may be due to having multiple family members accessing the same computer, it is against the rules.
Let me be clear. Having family members, friends, or anyone else vote for your map in the polls is completely fair. However, they must do so from a separate internet connection. This is to make our job easier when ruling out cheaters, as we are forced to assume that if you have multiple accounts created on your computer, that they have been created with the purpose of unfairly gaining an advantage in the competition.
Please do not do this. It is a fair temptation, I am sure, and it is easy to do. "Who will...
