343 Industries just released another look into Halo 5: Guardians with a broadcast of the opening cinematic of the game. The sequence introduces Fireteam Osiris whom, after an initial briefing with Thomas Laskey, plunge into a Covenant group in order to rescue Doctor Catherine Halsey from her abductor, Jul 'Mdama. Outside of the... robust cinematography the company is known for, the sequence establishes that Halsey has been kidnapped, the Covenant are still evil, and Fireteam Osiris kicks ass. This weeks Halo Bulletin contained some information regarding updates for The Master Chief Collection, cheating and reputation. So here's the low down, in recent weeks an exploit was discovered in which a player could provide negative feedback for players that were better at the game than they were. The Xbox Team have since brought out an update that will ignore player being blocked in select "ranked" playlists. Those playlists are as follows;
  • Halo 2: Anniversary
  • Team Doubles
  • Halo 2
  • Halo 3
  • Halo 4
  • Team Hardcore
Now fret not because if a player is providing you with a negative experience, you're still able to leave the appropriate feedback for said...

One point of interest was the fact that there will only be one universal HUD design for matchmaking regardless of what helmet you are wearing.

Although the Halo Bulletin didn't reveal much, both Cannon Fodder and IGN revealed a few more arena maps. The arena maps that were briefly shown off included Coliseum which you may remember from the MS Press Conference at Gamescom, The Rig which is a mining station high above a glassed human colony. This particular map is heavily focused on player...

Over the past week a little event known as Gamescom was taking place. There was plenty to be seen and even more to get excited about. However there was some information that some of you may have missed, so lets get stuck into it.

Halo News
I think its a safe assumption to say that we all enjoy the classical Halo soundtrack. One piece that really stands out is Halo's choir humming that unforgettable piece that we've all come to know and love. You may be thinking how this is relevant and I'd hate to disappoint. A few days ago someone uploaded a video to Youtube, This particular video claimed to have some samples from Halo 5's soundtrack and to be quite honest the music sounded professionally made with no hints of any past music being used. However, this information was only backed up be an apparent update to last years Halo 5 Beta. I personally checked the beta (as I still have it on...
